What should we include after the 30th?
The whole map should be freebuild!

So there have been a few ideas stemming from our players, I'll list a few of them..

In my opinion there could be two separate parts of the map. The free build one and the RPing one. If you decide to play on freebuild, you freebuild. If you decide to RP, your RP. Economy simply wouldn't work with playing on both sides. For example digging mines in freebuild - drill till the adminium and there you have anything you've ever wanted. But in the RP side you'd actually have to work your way up for something. Buy-able building permits, trading permits. Of course you could ignore them. Making camp - rebel themed forts that ignore those rules or making black markets hidden somewhere in city sewers would spice this all up. You could also play on both sides, thus stuff shouldn't be shared. Now with the private chests that shouldn't be a problem.

So, the question is, after the 30th what should we include in the new server? Should we make it more RP themed, or just leave it as it is - or both?

but if you need to get a permit to build i think alot of people are ganne build just undergound or just say well i got a permit from some one who is offline atm like baron or something ore zhuria

We need to have a stable economy, and people should use it... currently we are using "RS" redstone as our currency, but hardly anybody is buying anything...

Only way of fixing the economy are the permits. Why? Without them nobody will work for someone else. Everyone can find their own iron and smelt it and everyone can make their own glass. Everything can be obtained too easily. Drill to the adminium and there you go... redstone, diamonds, gold. There is no middle way. It's just not going to work.

I totally agree, although we should either have it "RolePlay" or "Freebuild" theres no-way you can have a currency running and trying to do Roleplay, while everyone else has the ability to mine anywhere and just get the resources themselves.

That's the thing. If people wouldn't cheat it would actually work. Put your stuff from freebuild in one chest and go roleplaying and same way around.

I would love to see our community gather around a themed project, having the same texture mods downloaded and building together towards a huge town/time-age.

It seems like there is alot of solo works going around, which is left behind because there is always new projects. So we have alot of stuff that isn't connected to anything, but is rather just filler content with no purpose.

Possibly, we could have a "Project" thread in these forums, where we could make our discussions, votes & more about upcoming things we want the community to be a part of.

The idea of a split map, one being Freebuild & one being RP-themed is somewhat fine with me, it's just kind of annoying to have to split a community in two as we have the same chat-system. If we could have some sort of "goal" to reach with what we do, I would play much more on the server & get alot of more work done, but right now with all the resets it have seemed so dull and pointless for me.

Hopefully the reset on the 30th will be the last for a long time, so we can establish a gathered community with the same goals in Minecraft. I know that this will be hard as we are all different, but I am sure we could gather quite a few people to work on something big Very Happy

What is the point to have a stable community in a game where mining/farming is the basics.

If we had jobs, lumbercrafts, miners, farmers, builders etc. It would be easier because everyone was depending on eachother & wasn't in "RP-mindset" qualified to do eachothers jobs. But roleplaying seems for me, dull & awkard and is really something I would'nt do in any game. Also, having a specific job because boring & having to tell people "only do this" will have them leave the server.

As it is now, I really like how we make deals. I don't understand why people accepts the redstone currency as it's flawed. There isn't any point in having loads of redstone, because there isn't anything of high value you can buy and are allowed to use (TNT, Muahahaha).

Back to what I meant; Currently, we trade things. For example, I sold 3x Diamond for 640 cobblestone(10stacks) as this was something I currently needed to make my fortress. I think I sold 9x Diamond that day and ended up with 1920 cobblestone at my hands and if I wished to purchase something else, I would trade in cobblestone for that material and so forth.

Economy system would require a much more controlled environment via modding, and is not working at the moment. A trading system with own set prices are much more community-friendly. If you overprice things, people won't trade with you, if they are fair - you will gain a "trading-reputation" that you are a trusted person.

And wow, I am tired and my post made 0 sense to me, hopefully it will make sense to some of you, but brb coffee -.-

I agree, but I think that we shouldn't use redstone. we need something that DOESNT make thoes who enjoy mining have more money than say a lumberjack, or a farmer. I think it should be like we all get given a certain amount of an unatainable object, like leaves or sponges, when we go into the server for the first time, then use that as currency. that, or mushrooms/flowers, since you only have to explore to find thoes.
