Minecraft is not working for me at the moment if you guys now how to fix tell me it says its offline atm maybe work later.

Yeah it's down, btw. There is a fix for all the crashes, check out the sticky.

I believe minecraft.net is undergoing a denial of service attack. An unconfirmed report says it will last for a week.. so.. we'll see what Notch can pull out of his ass before then.

DDoS attack on Minecraft.net. Ha! Had to happen again some time.

So does this mean that we can't get on Baron's server, O_O



And yes it's a Distributed Denial of Service attack, by guys from 4Chan, I hope you all know what that is. They've got an 80K botnet so they should be able to hold out for a few weeks ¬_¬.. let's hope notch can work something out.

They never claimed to be from 4chan, in fact they explicitly said "No, we are not 4channers", but they did post there. They also said this first attack would only last for a week.

All this is of course conjecture, as, who really knows if that was one of them making the 4chan post? I wouldn't be surprised, though. Stupid and stupid go together.
